What is it antigen test?
Sample collection is performed through nasopharyngeal swab by qualified healthcare staff. A swab is introduced through the mouth and nasal cavity, an uncomfortable process but it doesn't take more than 30 seconds.
Once the sample is collected, it is analysed in a device that has the result in just 15 minutes. In an hour you will receive an email with the test results, that can be negative, inconclusive or positive.
Antigen test is specially useful to detect positive cases, but it is recommended to make a PCR test confirmation in case the result is negative and still have doubts.
When it is recommended to perform antigen test?
Antigen test is very efficient to detect positive cases in patients with obvious covid-19 symptoms (fever, coughing, respiratory distress, smell and taste loss, etc).
Antigen test can be useful to detect positive cases on first days after close contact with a positive patient.
Antigen rapid test is efficient on the 5 first days after disease infection.
Which sensitivity and specificity do antigen tests have?

Is the antigen test a "lateral flow test"?
Yes, our antigen test is a "lateral flow test". Lateral flow test referres to the test technique based in a cassette with a cellulose strip where the sample scrolls (nasopharyngeal or blood remnants).
