- Antigen test: If the result is positive there is no need of confirmation. If it is negative and you have symptoms, it is recommended to perform PCR test to dismiss disease.

IgM is the first antibody produced when there is an infection, considered a marker of the acute stage of the disease.
IgG are produced later, maybe also present on the acute stage of the infection. IgG remain circulating on the blood, to protect the person against future infections.
IgM antibody can be detected approximately from the 7th day after the infection. Generally, the body produce IgG persisten antibodies from the 14th day since the infection.
Presence and detection of these antibodies in our body through a rapid test enables us to know if we are on the acute stage of the disease or in the late one, or if we already overcame it.
According to Health Ministry, “There are published evidence related to neutralising antibodies generation, in animals and humans“. Nevertheless, nowadays we can't confirm that someone that overcame the disease and generated antibodies is safe from another infection. According to published studies we can indicate that there is some protection level generated, but it seams that is not a total immunity in all cases.

PCR
PCR is gold standard test nowadays for covid-19 positive cases. It detects virus presence in our body.
- Nasopharyngeal swab sample. A swab is introduced generally in the nose.

Antigen test
It detects specific proteins (antigens) that are in the virus. It is a simple test that doesn't require a laboratory and which results are obtained quickly.
